PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Township was looking for a way to sustainably revitalize the concrete walkway between the rink surface and community centre after community members expressed concern about the safety of the existing flooring and the impact on their skating blades. Durable, slip-resident Pro-Fit rubber rink mats made from recycled tire rubber were installed at the arena. Not only are these products more environmentally friendly, aesthetically pleasing and cost-effective than the previous concrete surface, but they also provide extra protection so community members no longer have to worry about dulling their skates or accidental falls.
