Once again Ontarians have come together to raise money in support of The Sunshine Foundation of Canada. In partnership with Ontario Automotive Recyclers Association (OARA) and Ontario Federation of Agriculture (OFA) we are pleased to announce this year’s community collection events raised over $54,000 and collected over 52,000 scrap tires.
A cheque presentation and celebration was held on August 23rd, 2017 at P&G Auto Parts in North Bay, Ontario, this year’s top collection site. Thank you to Darrell and the team at P&G Auto Parts for your commitment to helping make dreams come true!
A special thanks to OFA members…this year’s OARA event generated the greatest number of agricultural tires collected since Tire Take Back launched.
Over the last eight years, Ontarians have helped raise an astonishing $1,115,921 through the collection of 510,285 tires as part of our annual Tire Take Back events.
The Sunshine Foundation of Canada makes dreams come true for children living with severe physical disabilities or life-threatening illnesses. Through the donation of tire collection fees, children within Sunshine’s Ontario network live out once-in-a-lifetime experiences that may otherwise not have been possible, such as meeting their heroes, taking dream vacations, or for one special boy, interacting with dolphins in the wild.
Thank you Ontario, for making dreams come true!
