Notice to all registered Collectors

On January 22nd, 2013 Ontario Tire Stewardship held a Consultation session and webinar with registered Collectors to review a proposal by OTS to revise the Collection Allowance (CA) rate. Following this consultation OTS has received feedback from the stakeholders regarding the proposed changes and is reviewing the next steps regarding this proposal.

At this time OTS is deferring the proposed July 1st 2013 implementation of a revised CA rate, and will continue to study the issue and the feedback received. For the time being CA rates will remain at current levels.

We look forward to working with all Collectors to ensure the Ontario Used Tire Program continues to be one of the most successful stewardship programs in the country, and will be engaging Collectors in further discussions regarding how best to achieve this in the coming months.
