Rubberized Asphalt

OTS is working to develop the Rubber Modified Asphalt (RMA) market in Ontario. Rubberized asphalt is already being used on highways, regional roads and secondary highways all over the world, and for good reason; rubberized asphalt can make for longer lasting, better performing roads. Roads with rubberized asphalt offer noise reduction, improved driving conditions, function more reliably, and cost less than conventional materials.

Ontarians deserve to profit from the significant benefits of rubberized asphalt, and we continue to push to expand the market in our province. Through engagement with the road construction industry, by undertaking innovative research projects, and by working to bring practical knowledge and experience from around the world to Ontario, we continue to support the industry, taking it in a more sustainable and fiscally viable direction.
