Back at it again for the seventh consecutive year, the OARA Tire Take Back program will once again turn old tires into new dreams! The dream tire collecting team – Ontario Tire Stewardship (OTS), Ontario Automotive Recyclers Association (OARA) and Ontario Federation of Agriculture (OFA) – returns in support of The Sunshine Foundation of Canada, raising funds to help kids’ dreams come true.

Over the course of six years, almost 400,000 tires have been collected during Tire Take Back, resulting in over $900,000 raised in support of The Sunshine Foundation of Canada to help fulfil the dreams of Sunshine Kids living with with physical disabilities or life-threatening illnesses.

Between May 24 and June 4, Ontarians are encouraged to bring in their old tires to participating auto recyclers across the province to help raise funds for this important cause. All participating automotive recyclers are generously donating tire collection fees they normally receive from OTS to The Sunshine Foundation, giving kids the opportunity to live out their dreams—perhaps a trip to the Bahamas, giving Mickey Mouse a hug or meeting game show host extraordinaire, Alex Trebek.
